Evidentemente para el jueves 21 ya no sabíamos (por lo menos para mi) si era martes, viernes, miércoles o jueves… así que gracias a San Pablo Garcia mágicamente sobre las 13:30 cuando me he girado y salido de mi bucle de trabajo he encontrado una mesa hermosa llena de vasitos con vermut con su adecuado pica pica, sí, una de esas cosas que suceden en el atelier en estos momentos de improvisación pero que seguro ya será una costumbre que no nos costará mucho mantener, así que ya lo sabes, si nos queréis visitar mejor los jueves sobre las 13:30.
Un momento curioso fue encontrar un iPad sin dueño y lo mejor es que detrás tenia una pegatina que decía, 1 de 15, sinceramente he tenido un momento de fe y con ganas esperaba que los reyes magos hubieran llegado aunque fuera tarde y era uno de los 15 iPad que nos habían traído por ser buenos niños. Lamentablemente la magia duro poco, el dueño apareció y el misterio se resolvió, eso sí ha durado 3 días el iPad huérfano.

La punta del iceberg, trabajo en curso

Cena en casa de amigos:
El sábado después de una semana intensa para los equipos de post producción en Atelier, me he reunido con los amigos (no atelierianos) a comentar nuestra semana y cuando ha llegado mi turno y he terminado de contar mi semana, la frase que más me ha tocado fue; ¡Que envidia tía! quien fuera tu para poder volver a la escuela a nuestra edad. Y la verdad es que sí, desde octubre he tenido esta sensación de sentirme afortunada de poder vivir esta experiencia que va in crescendo y esta semana no ha sido la excepción.
Hemos comenzado la semana con el famoso “blue monday”, y en donde la parka se sigue llevando artistas famosos (a ver si ya le paras porque desde que te llevaste Scott Weiland el ex cantante de stone temple pilots, luego te llevaste a Lemmy de Motörhead y a nuestro querido Bowie, ahora te llevas a Gleen Frey de los Eagles, no que era de 3 en 3? no nos vayas a hacer una de 6, ya párale porfis) en fin volviendo al tema, así empezábamos la semana pero también sumado a mucho trabajo por delante, si la semana pasada fue intensa con la producción, esta no ha sido la excepción para realizar la post producción que aun sigue en proceso y como bien nos dijo Enric, esto es solo la punta del iceberg. Y para mi fue una semana en particular entretenida, me ha tocado ver a los equipos cada uno ir dandole forma a todo el trabajo que se ha realizado para nuestro trabajo en la campaña del OFFF (que probablemente ya habéis visto algunos sneak peeks en los posts de estos días) y creanme que es inspirador y motivador ver a gente mucho más joven que una resolver las cosas de la forma en la que lo están haciendo y además aquí si, envidiarme porque estoy aprendiendo de todos ellos muchísimo y eso mola mil!
Esta semana en lo personal he recordado algo muy importante y es a colaborar con tu equipo de trabajo en lo que haga falta haciendo la cosa más simple pero que faltaba por hacer y pues… alguien lo había de hacer, no siempre nos toca hacer lo que quisiéramos, pero aunque te toque lo que no tenías en mente, como bien me dijo mi padre, has siempre las cosas lo mejor que puedas, si te toca limpiar pues déjalo de forma que hasta en el suelo puedas comer, ¡impoluto! y a eso creo que todos nos dedicamos esta semana a hacer las cosas lo mejor que podemos y más allá. También he de reconocer que esta semana he intentado cuidar un poco a la gente que veía más cargada de trabajo (lo siento, es que me sale la vena madre que no soy) así que cuando veía que mis troopers iban perdiendo energía pues me hacia un espacio y les hacia algunos sandwiches o decía que iba por un cafe y las peticiones saltaban a granel, cafes que esta semana hemos necesitado muchos, el del bar ya hasta nos improvisaba una bandeja visto el panorama.

PD: Ademas del Atelier, algo que tenemos en común los troopers es que estamos todos muy lejos de casa y hoy domingo 24 de enero para mi es un día muy especial porque mi hermana cumple años. Lamentablemente no puedo abrazarla para desearle un feliz cumpleaños, pero siempre tendremos skype para poder hacer un soplar las velas y abrir regalos juntas via online. Feliz cumpleños Cyntia, te quiero a montones!

Saturday January 23th
We started this week with the famous “Blue Monday” and with the death taking more and more famous with him ( please stop it, you took Scott Weiland ex signer from stone temple pilots, then you took Lemmy from Motörhead and our dear Bowie, now on Monday you took Gleen Frey from the Eagles, wasn’t 3 and 3? please don’t make it 6…) Anyway, back to subject, that was the beginning of our week plus a bunch of work ahead, if last week was intense with production, this wasn’t the exception with the post production that still in process and as Enric told us well, this is just the tip of the iceberg. For me it was an amusement week, I’ve been able to see the the different work teams give shape to all the work that we have donde so far for the OFFF campaign ( that you probably by now have seen some sneak peeks on the posts from the past few days) and believe me that is inspiring to see younger people to solve the things the way they do it and yes, at this point you are allowed to envy me a bit, because I’m learning from all of them a lot and that’s so great!
As far as I’m concerned this week I’ve remember something very important and it’s to collaborate with your work team in what ever is needed even if so simple but it has to be done and someone has to do it, we won’t always will be doing what we wish, but even if you have to do something that you were not counting of do, as my father once told me, do everything the best that you can, even if it’s clean, then leave it so clean that you will be able to eat even from the floor, shiny! And that’s what I think we all did this week to do the things the best that we can and beyond. Also this week I have been trying to take care when ever I could to the people that I have seen with a lot of work (yes, here comes that mommy thing that sometimes I have…) so when ever I see one of my troopers loosing some energy I made my self some short space to made some sandwich for them of offer to go and get the round of coffee that was very needed this week, the bar man improvised a tray given the situation.
For sure by Thursday 21st we didn’t know (at least for me) if it was Tuesday, Friday, Wednesday or Thursday… So thanks to Saint Pablo Garcia magically around 13:30 when I turned from the computer out of my work loop I found a beautiful table full of vermut glasses next to the adequate olives, fuet and chips, yes one of those things that happen at atelier on those improvisation moments, but for sure a custom that won’t be hard to keep, so know you know if you want to visit us Thursday around 13:30 is best.
The curious moment of the week was protagonized by a no owner iPad and the best thing was that it had an sticker on the back with the legend 1 of 15, I really had a moment of faith and I was hoping that was the late gift from the magic kings and that was one of the 15 because we have been very good kids. Sadly the magic lasted so little, the owner appeared and the mystery was solved, but never the less, the orphan iPad lasted 3 days.

Dinner with friends:
At Saturday night after an intense week for the atelier teams with the post production, I was having dinner with some friends (non atelierians) catching up about our week, after my turn and telling them about my week, the sentence that touched me the most was; I envy you so much! Who could be you to be able to go back to school at our age. And you know what? it’s true, since October I been having this feeling of being so lucky to be able to live this experience that goes in crescendo and this week hasn’t been the exception.

PS: Besides the Atelier, we the troopers have another thing in common and is that we all are very very far away from home, today Sunday 24 for me it’s a very special day, because it’s my sister birthday. Sadly I can’t hug her to wish her a happy birthday, but we will always have Skype to blow the candles and open presents online. Happy Birthday Cyntia, Love you like tons!
